Background

Mighty Leaf Tea began with San Francisco husband-and-wife team Gary Shinner and Jill Portman. With a passion for creating the most incredible handcrafted tea blends, they began globally sourcing the finest ingredients available and delivering them in the handcrafted Mighty Leaf Tea Pouch. What they lacked was a powerful brand image that would give the brand the leverage to expand their distribution into a broader set of retail outlets. Lambesis recognized the opportunity to elevate the brand’s image, defining Mighty Leaf Tea as the first mass designer tea brand. The campaign was deemed an immediate success, receiving industry praise for category leadership and premium image. In the summer of 2011 Mighty Leaf Iced Tea was launched in over 2500 stores including distribution in mass retailers such as Kroger and Whole Food’s.

Package Design

New packaging was developed for Mighty Leaf’s first venture into the iced tea category.Clean imagery, minimal graphics and sleek type design project high-end gourmet appeal.
